Cape Town – Armed robbers stormed a church service in Samora Machel, Cape Town, over the weekend and robbed congregants of cellphones, according to media reports.
The attack saw armed assailants entering the place of worship and stealing valuables from members of the congregation during the service.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with community members describing it as a violation of a sacred and safe space.

Details show that the robbery was partially recorded through a live-stream broadcast, which captured the moment the attackers disrupted the service.
The footage has since circulated online and added to public calls for swift arrests.
Authorities have not yet confirmed any arrests, and investigations into the incident are continuing.
