Durban – Democratic Alliance (DA) Leader Geordin Hill-Lewis will on Tuesday, 9 June 2026, pay a courtesy visit to His Majesty King Misuzulu kaZwelithini, the party has announced.
According to a statement, the visit is intended to demonstrate respect for the institution of traditional leadership and its role in South Africa’s cultural heritage and communities.
“The visit reflects the DA’s respect for the institution of traditional leadership and its enduring role in the lives and heritage of millions of South Africans,” the party said.
The Democratic Alliance Leadership will tomorrow, 09 June 2026, pay a special visit to iSilo Misuzulu KaZwelithini, the King of the Zulu Nation.
The delegation will be led by the Federal Leader, Geordin Hill-Lewis & the Provincial Leader, Sithembiso Ngema.

The engagement forms part of the party’s broader effort to position itself as inclusive of all communities and traditions across the country.
Hill-Lewis will be accompanied by senior DA leaders, including Federal Chairperson Solly Msimanga, KwaZulu-Natal leader Sithembiso Ngema, and KZN Public Works and Infrastructure Minister Dean Macpherson, among others.
Also part of the delegation are DA KZN Deputy Provincial Leader and MEC for Public Works and Infrastructure Martin Meyer, Federal Council Subcommittee Chairperson on Traditional Leadership Thami Mabhena, and members of the party’s provincial management committee.
Media have been invited to attend the visit, which will include opportunities for photographs and interviews.
