Cape Town – Award-winning television personality, musician and podcaster Londie London has opened up about one of the most emotional chapters of her life during the premiere episode of her reality show, Life with Londie London, which aired on 21 May.
Born Londiwe Siphiwokuhle Zulu in Durban, Londie grew up in KwaZulu-Natal and has often spoken about how her upbringing shaped her resilience and ambition.
Over the years, she has built a successful career in the entertainment industry, first gaining recognition as a musician before becoming one of South Africa’s most recognisable reality television stars and social media personalities.
However, behind the glamour and success, Londie revealed that her journey into motherhood was marked by loneliness and emotional pain.
The first episode of Life with Londie London gave viewers a deeply personal glimpse into her life, with one particularly emotional moment touching many as she reflected on going through both of her pregnancies alone.

“I’m blessed to have my kids, but man, it took a lot to get here. I was alone in both pregnancies. I’ve never experienced baby daddy being there,” she shared.
“Even with all my scans, I was alone. He never even came to the hospital after giving birth. Both pregnancies, not just one,” she added.
Londie admitted that becoming a single mother was never part of the life she had imagined for herself.
“It hasn’t been easy because they look like their dad. I never imagined myself to be a single parent,” she said.
Acoording to The South African, the mother of two was previously married to businessman Hlubi Nkosi, but the couple divorced in 2022.
Speaking candidly about her marriage, Londie described the relationship as emotionally distant.
“There was no love, it was very cold, you know, Hillcrest is always cold, but at that house it was always minus 20 degrees,” she said.
Despite the hardships, Londie continues to embrace motherhood with love and strength. She is a proud mother to her son, Uminathi, and daughter, Bomikazi, whom she affectionately refers to as her “Irish twins” because of their close age gap.
Through her new reality series, Londie is allowing viewers to see a more vulnerable and authentic side of her life, one shaped by heartbreak, healing, motherhood and personal growth.
