Limpopo – The South African Police Service in Lephalale has appealed to members of the public for assistance in locating a 30-year-old man believed to be linked to a murder investigation dating back to March 2026.
Police said the suspect, identified as Mluleki Sipho Mzobe, also known by the nickname “Baba”, remains at large and is considered a person of interest whose “presence could be critical” to the ongoing investigation.
According to police, investigators moved swiftly following the murder and managed to trace and arrest five male suspects in connection with the case.
“All five suspects have made several court appearances and remain in police custody,” SAPS said in a statement.
Police confirmed that a warrant of arrest has been issued for Mzobe in connection with the murder.
The SAPS has urged anyone with information regarding Mzobe’s whereabouts to come forward.
“Police are urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mluleki Sipho Mzobe to contact the Investigating Officer Constable Virginia Nkoati on 079 151 9244 or crime stop number 08600 10111 or nearest police station or MySAPS App,” the statement read.
Investigations into the murder are continuing.
