Johannesburg – The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has lodged a complaint with the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa (BCCSA) against Moja Love TV over an episode of Zimoja Daily, accusing it of airing politically biased and misleading content about the party.
EFF spokesperson Thembi Msane said the programme broadcast unverified allegations, misrepresented facts, and undermined Constitutional Court findings.
“We hereby lodge a formal complaint against Moja Love TV regarding an episode of ‘Zimoja Daily’ which broadcast misleading, politically biased, and prejudicial commentary against the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF),” Msane said in a statement.
The party argues that the episode violated the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa Code of Conduct by failing to ensure accuracy, fairness, and balance, and by not giving the EFF an opportunity to respond.
The EFF also claims the programme ignored rules requiring fair reporting on controversial public issues and respect for lawful institutions.
It is demanding that the episode be withdrawn, a public apology be issued, and that it be allowed to respond on the same platform.
