Cape Town – Police have launched a murder investigation after a 54-year-old man was shot and killed in a vehicle in a shopping centre parking lot on Klipfontein Road in Rondebosch on Thursday afternoon.
According to The South African, SAPS officers from Mowbray responded to reports of gunfire at about 13:40 and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds in the parking area of Woolworths opposite the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital.
He was declared dead at the scene.
Police say the motive is still unknown and investigations are ongoing, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward.
