Johannesburg – The case against Bellarmine Mugabe and co-accused Tobiaz Matondze has returned to the Alexandra Magistrates Court on Friday after multiple delays linked to plea negotiations and court disruptions.
The pair have been in custody since March following allegations that they shot an employee at their Hyde Park home in February. They previously abandoned their bail applications to pursue plea discussions, but no agreement was reached between the State and defence.
They are facing seven charges, including attempted murder, illegal possession of a firearm, contravening the Immigration Act, and defeating the ends of justice.
