Cape Town – Verushka Singh has officially stepped down as Mrs South Africa 2026, citing a desire to focus on her family and personal life.
Verushka, the first Indian South African woman to win the title in November 2025, expressed gratitude for her time on the platform.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to have served on this platform and for the incredible women I’ve had the privilege of standing alongside,” she said.

The Mrs South Africa organisation, led by CEO Joani Jacobs, praised her dedication and supports her decision.
“Verushka has carried the title with dedication and professionalism during her time on the platform,” Jacobs said.
“We respect her decision and support her in prioritising what matters most in this season of her life.”
Following tradition, First Princess Carika Bebb has assumed the title and expressed excitement to continue the organisation’s women empowerment work.
The organisation confirmed that all planned events and programmes will proceed as scheduled.
