Cape Town – Two candidates — Sibusiso Dyonase and Geordin Hill-Lewis — will contest the Democratic Alliance’s top position of federal leader at its national conference on April 11–12, where around 1,000 delegates are expected to vote.

Other key races include the federal chairperson contest between Ivan Meyer and Solly Msimanga, as well as multiple contests for deputy chairperson positions, attracting several senior figures, including Solly Malatsi, Nomafrench Mbombo and Siviwe Gwarube.
The party’s federal council elections are also highly contested, with numerous candidates vying for leadership roles, highlighting growing internal competition ahead of the conference.
