Durban – Two security guards were wounded during a cash heist on the N2 highway near the NPC Cement factory in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal on Wednesday.
Emergency services confirmed that the incident resulted in injuries to two guards who were reportedly involved in guarding a cash transport operation.

The Netcare 911 helicopter was dispatched to airlift one of the injured guards to hospital for urgent treatment.
Authorities have closed the N2 southbound section to traffic while emergency and law enforcement teams respond to the scene.
Motorists have been advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes as investigations into the heist continue.
