Pretoria – Three suspects accused of murdering 22-year-old Bolt driver and engineering student Isaac Satlat have abandoned their bail applications and remain behind bars after appearing in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court.
Dikeledi Tears Mphela (also referred to as Phela), Gositsiane Machidi and McClaren Mushwana face charges of premeditated murder, aggravated robbery and car hijacking in connection with the fatal attack on 11 February 2026 in Pretoria West.
The case was postponed to 23 February 2026 for further investigation.
Police have confirmed that a fourth suspect is still being sought.
Satlat was allegedly attacked after responding to a ride request.

His hijacked vehicle and body were later found in Atteridgeville. The killing, captured on camera and widely circulated on social media, sparked national outrage.
Outside court, hundreds of e-hailing drivers and supporters staged protests, chanting “Justice for Isaac” and calling on government to strengthen safety measures for drivers operating on digital platforms.
