Cape Town – South African media personality Nonkanyiso “LaConco” Conco has publicly shared her decision to undergo cosmetic surgery this Valentine’s Day, framing it as an act of self‑care and personal empowerment.
The Real Housewives of Durban star has been documenting her preparations as she checked into a Johannesburg clinic to have a tummy tuck a procedure she describes as a special gift to herself.
In a video posted to her Instagram account, LaConco explained her motivation ahead of the surgery. “I am a woman who works out at least five times a week. I fight a lot on this one because I have gifted myself a tummy tuck for Valentine’s Day,” she said. “This is a gift from me to me. Ladies, let’s love ourselves,” she added, highlighting self‑love as a key reason behind her choice.
LaConco documented the lead‑up to the procedure on social media, sharing clips of her pre‑surgery routine, which included blood tests, X‑rays and personal care treatments like facials and brow shaping. These preparations were done not only for medical readiness but also to mentally prepare for the recovery process ahead.

This abdominoplasty marks the second major cosmetic surgery for LaConco. In 2022 she underwent 360‑degree liposuction a procedure that removes stubborn fat from various areas such as the abdomen, waist and back as part of her ongoing body transformation journey.
Fans have been quick to show their support, flooding her social media posts with messages like “You go, queen!” and “Looking amazing as always,” celebrating her openness and confidence.
LaConco said she hopes sharing her experience will inspire others to embrace self-love and do things that make them feel good. “It’s not just about the look, it’s about feeling happy and empowered in your own skin,” she said.
