Pretoria – Gauteng police have arrested two more suspects in the murder of e-hailing driver Isaac David Satlat in Pretoria West.
The men, aged 30 and 26, join a 25-year-old woman already in custody.
All three are set to appear in Pretoria Magistrates Court on charges of murder and car hijacking.
Satlat was strangled inside his vehicle by passengers who had requested his service, an attack captured on dashcam and widely shared on social media.
“The two male suspects, who are aged 30 and 26, will join the third suspect, aged 25, who was arrested on Friday, 13 February.
“All suspects are expected to appear before the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 16 February, facing charges that include car hijacking and murder,” police spokesperson Colonel Mavela Masondo said.
Police are still searching for a fourth suspect.
The arrests come as the shocking killing continues to highlight the dangers faced by gig economy workers.
