Johannesburg – Eskom has announced a planned electricity outage in Daveyton Ext 2 on Tuesday, 17 February, from 9:00 to 16:00 for essential maintenance on its distribution network.
The seven-hour interruption aims to ensure the safe and reliable operation of power lines and prevent unplanned breakdowns.
“The interruption in electricity supply is necessary to perform essential maintenance on our distribution power lines,” Eskom said.

Residents and businesses have been urged to plan accordingly and follow safety precautions, as unforeseen changes to the schedule are possible.
“In the interest of safety, customers are advised to treat all electrical appliances as live at all times during the power supply outage,” the utility said.
Eskom apologised for any inconvenience caused.
