Johannesburg – A building collapsed in Doornfontein, Johannesburg, on Monday following a suspected gas explosion, according to early reports shared on social media.
Details surrounding the incident remain limited, but initial information suggests the collapse may have been triggered by a gas explosion, possibly linked to a generator.

Emergency services and City of Johannesburg authorities were alerted shortly after the incident.
At the time of publication, it was unclear whether there were any injuries or fatalities.
The City of Johannesburg Emergency Management Services had not yet issued an official statement.
