Cape Town – Western Cape police have launched a manhunt for unknown gunmen following the fatal shooting of three men at Gordon’s Bay Mall on Tuesday night.
According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), the victims, aged between 40 and 45, were shot at around 9.30pm while standing in the mall’s parking area.
“Official reports indicate that the deceased men were in the parking lot at Gordon’s Bay Mall at approximately 21:30 when unknown gunmen travelling in a vehicle approached them and shots were fired,” SAPS said in a statement posted on X.
Police said two of the victims died inside a vehicle, while the third was found dead outside the car. The suspects fled the scene in their vehicle immediately after the shooting.
“Gordon’s Bay police have registered a triple murder docket for investigation,” SAPS confirmed, adding that the incident is believed to be gang-related.
No arrests have been made at this stage, and police have not released further details about the suspects or the motive. Investigations are ongoing.
