Johannesburg – Law enforcement officials dismantled an illicit dagga operation in Primrose, Ekurhuleni, on Friday, arresting two men and seizing cannabis products, edibles and drug paraphernalia with an estimated street value of R30 000.
According to police, the operation formed part of ongoing efforts to curb illegal drug distribution in the province.
Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) spokesperson Chief Superintendent Kelebogile Thepa said officers acted on specific intelligence regarding suspected dagga dealing in the area.
“Responding to information received, officers moved to Polly Street where the pair were found on the premises and searched, before multiple large containers of dagga hidden in different bedrooms were uncovered,” Thepa said.
