Pretoria – Emergency services responded to a motor vehicle collision in Waverley on Wednesday after a male driver reportedly suffered a seizure while driving and collided with another vehicle.
Paramedics from PVES were first on the scene, alongside Best Care and Pro Med Emergency Medical Services, as well as Proshield Security personnel.
“The male patient was assessed on site and immediately transported to hospital by our team,” a Best Care spokesperson confirmed.

A female passenger involved in the collision sustained neck and back pain. She was treated at the scene but declined further medical care.
“She refused transport to hospital after being assessed,” the spokesperson added.
Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the condition of the male driver or the circumstances leading up to the seizure.
Proshield Security assisted in managing the scene and ensuring the safety of other road users while emergency teams carried out their work.
Motorists are reminded to remain vigilant and report any medical emergencies on the road to authorities promptly.
