Johannesburg – Warrick Stock, 40, popularly known as DJ Warras or “The Shady Lurker,” is being laid to rest today, 23 December, in Rosebank following his murder in Johannesburg’s CBD on 16 December.
He was shot in broad daylight by assailants, one disguised as a security guard, while leaving Zambesi House.
The killing is believed to be a targeted hit linked to his work reclaiming hijacked buildings in the inner city, with reports suggesting a “price on his head” due to his efforts against criminal syndicates.
