Johannesburg – Reports say former 5FM presenter and Cliff Central DJ Warrick Stock, known as DJ Warras, was shot in the Johannesburg CBD on Tuesday afternoon.

His friend Rob Hersov publicly described the incident as a murder and paid tribute to him.
“He was murdered today Johannesburg. I just want to say he is the most loving, compassionate, friendly, honest, open, decent human being, and it is a tragedy beyond belief.
“Warras, we love you, we miss you, may you rest in peace, brother,” Hersov tweeted.

Sources claim DJ Warras had interests in a security company involved in VIP protection and CBD building security, with analysts pointing to increasing violence linked to rivalries in the private security sector, The Citizen reported. said.
Similar killings of high-profile DJs in recent years have raised concerns about the trend.
DJ Warras was reportedly shot outside the Carlton Centre, and he was active on social media just hours before the incident.
