Johannesburg – Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has included Relebohile Mofokeng and Elias Mokwana in his 25-man squad for the 2025 Afcon, backing both to make an impact despite their recent absences from the national team
Mofokeng, who returned from injury and has been in strong form for Orlando Pirates, was an easy selection for Broos.

Mokwana has also impressed at his new Saudi club Al-Hazem, where he has even been used as a central striker โ a versatility Broos says could benefit Bafana.
Broos also placed Thabo Moloisane, Mduduzi Shabalala and Iqraam Rayners on standby, asking them to remain in South Africa and stay match-ready rather than travel with the squad.
The only surprises in the squad are youngsters Tylon Smith and Shandre Campbell, selected mainly for future development, though they could be used if needed.
