Cape Town – Musician and producer Mörda, real name Bongani Mohosana, has touched hearts across the country after surprising his parents with a fully furnished new home — a gesture that left the entire family emotional.
Mörda’s mother broke down the moment she realised what her son had done for them, while his father paused before walking into the home and said, “My son, thank you. You have made us proud.” The emotional scene has been widely shared online, with fans praising the artist for honouring his parents so publicly.
DJ Zinhle, Mörda’s wife, also shared parts of the surprise on Instagram. In her caption, she wrote: “A huge congratulations and blessings to the Mohosana family on their new home. @murdahbongz, you did it! God bless you. This is big.” She added that watching the moment unfold “made her emotional too”.

The reaction online was just as heartfelt. One supporter wrote: “This is the kind of thing every parent dreams of. Well done, brother.” Another commented: “What a blessing. May your parents enjoy this home for many years.”
Mörda said the gesture was his way of giving back to the two people who carried him through the hardest parts of his journey. During the reveal, he reportedly turned to them and said softly: “You’ve done so much for me. I wanted to do this for you.”
