Pretoria – A powerful thunderstorm accompanied by heavy hail battered parts of Johannesburg on Sunday night, triggering flooding and significant damage.
The storm swept through northern, central and eastern areas, turning major routes into waterlogged hazards and covering neighbourhoods in thick layers of hail.
In Pretoria, motorists found roads blocked and vehicles stuck as the severe weather moved through.
