Durban – Robert Nwedo has resigned as deputy president of Floyd Shivambu’s Afrika Mayibuye Movement (AMM), giving notice on Tuesday.
His departure follows the recent firing of the party’s second deputy president, Nolubabalo Mcinga, after a dispute with Shivambu.
“I would like to appreciate and thank the learning and experience gained through my involvement in building Mayibuye.
“My focus is building an organisation that is loyal to workers and poor citizens in general under the MAWUSA banner,” Nwendo wrote in a letter circulated on social media.
