Johannesburg — One suspect was shot dead and another arrested in Cosmo City on Tuesday as police intensified their pursuit of fugitives linked to the murder of two officers in Roodepoort earlier this year.
According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), officers were in hot pursuit of a group of suspects that includes Jabulani Moyo, who escaped from lawful custody and is wanted in connection with the killing of the two officers in August.
“One suspect was fatally wounded and a second suspect was arrested in Cosmo City as police were chasing suspects that include Jabulani Moyo,” SAPS said.

A manhunt is now underway for additional suspects who fled the scene, including Moyo.
“The search for the remaining suspects is ongoing,” SAPS confirmed.
