Bafana Bafana defeated Zambia 3-1 in a lively friendly at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, securing their first win over Chipolopolo since 2018 and boosting confidence ahead of next month’s AFCON in Morocco.
Oswin Appollis opened the scoring just before half-time after a precise pass from Sipho Mbule.

Zambia’s Sabobo Banda netted a late consolation goal.
South Africa dominated much of the match, controlling possession and limiting Zambia’s chances, while Ronwen Williams had little to do thanks to strong defensive work, particularly against Fashion Sakala.
