Polokwane – Police have launched a manhunt for ten male suspects following a stokvel-related house robbery in Malamulele, Vhembe District, targeting a 43-year-old woman and her children.
According to South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, the incident occurred on Tuesday night, 4 November 2025, at around 23:30 in Xigamani village.
“Preliminary reports indicate that a 43-year-old woman was asleep at her home with her children when about 10 unknown male suspects, armed with firearms, forced entry into the house.
“The suspects allegedly threatened the victims and demanded money. They then ransacked the house and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, believed to be stokvel money, as well as a cellphone, before fleeing the scene on foot,” said Ledwaba.
