Cape Town – Police in the Western Cape have launched an investigation after three bodies were discovered in a vehicle in Imizamo Yethu, Hout Bay.
According to Colonel Andrè Traut, the incident was reported at approximately 23:45 on Tuesday, 14 October 2025.
Officers responded to a crime scene at Holomisa Square, where they found the bodies of three unidentified men with gunshot wounds inside a silver Hyundai i20.
“The motive for the triple murder is yet to be established; however, extortion-related activity has not been ruled out as a possible factor,” said Traut.

“Detectives attached to the Provincial Serious and Violent Crime Unit are pursuing all leads in an effort to identify those responsible and bring them to justice,” he added.
The Provincial Commissioner of the Western Cape, Lieutenant General (Adv) Thembisile Patekile, strongly condemned the killings, describing them as a “callous disregard for human life.”
“The level of violence displayed in this incident is deeply concerning. We urge community members to work with us by providing any information that could assist in tracking down those behind this crime,” said Patekile.
Police have appealed to anyone with information about the incident to help identify the deceased by contacting Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or using the My SAPS mobile application.
