Cape Town – A woman who won the R9.7 million Lotto jackpot on Saturday, 4 October 2025, has officially claimed her prize, Ithuba confirmed.
She bought her R60 Quick Pick ticket via a banking app and discovered her win through an SMS from her bank.
The regular lottery player said she was in shock and immediately shared the news with her daughter.
“I just went numb; I truly could not believe it. I couldn’t wait to share the news with my daughter, it was a moment of pure joy,” she said.
The new millionaire plans to travel, relax, and expand her business.
“I’m looking forward to traveling and exploring serene places around the world. As an entrepreneur, I also plan to expand my business and continue to Phanda, Pusha, Play!”
Ithuba CEO Charmaine Mabuza congratulated the winner and urged other players to check their tickets, noting that 17 Division 3 winners will each receive R9 193.40.
