It has been confirmed that the individuals, including Mandla Mandela, will be released from detention and are scheduled to depart for South Africa via Jordan on Wednesday morning.

According to The Citizen, South African officials have been engaged with regional counterparts since the activists’ detention to facilitate their safe return.
The group is scheduled to arrive back in South Africa on Wednesday, 8 October, landing at OR Tambo International Airport at approximately 9:30 a.m.
This follows a claim by Israeli authorities that the repatriation is being funded by South African taxpayers, an assertion the department has denied.
“The Department wishes to clarify that the return is being facilitated with the support of families and solidarity groups,” said Dirco spokesperson Chrispin Phiri.
