Johannesburg – The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has forecast partly cloudy and cool to warm conditions for Sunday, 14 September 2025, with isolated showers and thundershowers across several provinces.
Severe thunderstorms are expected in eastern Mpumalanga, where a yellow level 2 warning has been issued for heavy downpours, strong winds, lightning, and hail.
These could cause localised flooding, damage to infrastructure, and hazardous driving conditions.
Extremely high fire danger warnings are in place for the western North West and northeastern Free State.
