Cape Town – Heartbreak hit a Pietermaritzburg creche after a taxi slammed into the building, claiming the lives of three children and injuring eleven more.
According to ArriveAlive, the accident occurred at about 7:30 AM on Thursday on the T6 road when the taxi lost control, veered off the roadway, and slammed into the building.
KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service responded the scene, where the paramedics provided immediate medical attention to the patients caught up in the crash.

“The scene was chaotic and deeply distressing. A crumpled taxi lay amidst the wreckage of the creche building.
“Children’s cries filled the air as paramedics worked tirelessly to stabilise the injured.
“The impact of the crash was devastating, with the youngest victims aged between nine and eleven years old tragically losing their lives.
“The injured, all aged between nine and fifteen, sustained injuries ranging from critical to serious.
“Two patients are in critical condition, and nine are seriously injured.
In a statement, Transport and Human Settlements, MEC Siboniso Duma, confirmed the tragic loss of three children after the driver was transporting children, lost control of his minibus taxi and plunged into a creche in Mbali Township.
