Cape Town – The South African Police Service (SAPS) has launched a Provincial Serious Violent Crime Unit detective team in Gqeberha to trace the suspects linked to the fatal shooting of three people.
In a statement, police said that the incident occurred on Monday, 8 September, at approximately 19:40 in Malibale Street, Soweto-on-Sea, Kwazakele.
“According to reports, SAPS Kwazakele were summoned to a shooting incident at Malibale Street, Soweto on Sea.
“On their arrival they received information from the community members that they heard gunshots being fired and after gunshots the community members found the bodies of the two women and one child inside the house and alerted the Police,” said SAPS.

Three of the victims were declared dead on the scene by medical personal.
Detectives have launched an investigation on three counts of murder.
“The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear and will form part of the ongoing investigation”, said SAPS.
