Nelspruit — Police in Calcutta are investigating a triple murder after three men were shot inside a charcoal-colored Mercedes-Benz in Mkhuhlu on Friday morning.
The vehicle, registered in Gauteng, was found riddled with bullets around 11:00 am near the local hospital.
Paramedics certified two of the victims dead at the scene, while the third succumbed to his injuries after being transported to hospital. Authorities recovered multiple cartridges from the vehicle.

No arrests have been made, and the motive behind the killings remains unknown. Police are appealing to the public for any information that could help identify the suspects. Tips can be reported anonymously via Crime Stop at 08600 10111 or through the MYSAPSAPP platform.
A specialised investigation team has been established under Acting Provincial Commissioner Major General (Dr) Zeph Mkhwanazi.
“The team is working around the clock to ensure that the perpetrators are swiftly brought to justice. We are adamant that our communities will come forth with valuable information regarding this case,” Mkhwanazi said.
Authorities have urged residents in Mkhuhlu and surrounding areas to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
