Cape Town – Reality star and media personality Nonkanyiso “LaConco” Conco has officially entered the world of scripted television, making her acting debut in Mzansi Magic’s telenovela Genesis.
This milestone came to light when she appeared as “The Podcaster” in an episode airing this week. Celebrating the moment on Instagram, she expressed heartfelt gratitude: “Hawu, thank you for featuring me.”

Produced by Singavision Productions, Genesis premiered on 21 April and revolves around former gospel artist Felicia Thabethe. The ensemble cast includes notable actors such as Baby Cele, Buyile Mdladla, Nay Maps, Gaosi Raditholo, KB Motsilanyane, and Kealeboga Masango.
LaConco first rose to public attention through her engagement to former president Jacob Zuma. Her television journey continued with The Real Housewives of Durban, after which she ventured into presenting.
Her hosting credits include Our Perfect Wedding and Ingane Yam.
Earlier this year, she launched her podcast Timeline with LaConco, which has already attracted over 30 000 subscribers and delves into personal topics such as her relationship with Zuma and her experiences as a mother. She was also recently honored as Podcast Presenter of the Year at the Basadi in Music Awards.
