Cape Town – Patriotic Alliance leader Gayton McKenzie has instructed his party’s legal team to take action against the hosts of the Open Chats Podcast after a viral clip showed them making racist and degrading remarks about the Coloured community.
The hosts claimed, among other things, that Coloured families engage in incest and suffer from mental health issues.
McKenzie condemned the comments as blatant racism and promised to announce a course of action by 7pm on Wednesday.
“I want a report today of how we are going to deal with those people who said Coloureds are crazy. I want us to use everything at our disposal. Tonight, at 7pm, I will tell our people what action we are going to take. It’s racism. We must never allow people to become that comfortable,” he said.

In response, the podcast team issued a public apology, saying the comments were not intended to cause harm and that the clip has since been removed. They emphasized their opposition to racism and discrimination.
