Washington – US President Donald Trump has suggested he may not attend the G20 summit in South Africa this November, citing disapproval of the country’s policies.
Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump criticised South Africa’s domestic and foreign policies, including its land reform efforts and its genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice.

Tensions between the US and South Africa have grown under both Trump and President Joe Biden, particularly over South Africa’s stance on Israel and its Black Economic Empowerment policies.
Trump previously cut US aid to South Africa and made controversial claims about land seizures and white genocide.
The diplomatic strain continues as South African President Cyril Ramaphosa urges Trump to attend the summit despite the friction.
