Cape Town – A triple murder and attempted double murder occurred in Gugulethu, Cape Town, on Wednesday night, adding to a wave of violence in the Western Cape.
Three men were found shot dead in a bedroom, and two others were injured and hospitalised, police spokesperson Colonel Andrè Traut said.
“At approximately 23:00, police responded to reports of a shooting in Moletsane Street, New Crossroads. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the bodies of three men with gunshot wounds in a bedroom.
“Two other male victims had also sustained gunshot wounds and were already transported to a medical facility for treatment,” Traut said.

Police say four armed suspects opened fire before fleeing with cellphones and a firearm.
All victims are in their thirties, and the motive is under investigation.
