Polokwane – Police in Limpopo have launched a manhunt after a 30-year-old woman was shot and killed in Mahlakwena village near Burgersfort on Monday morning.
According to authorities, the woman’s body was discovered on the road near her home at around 06:00, with a gunshot wound. Her vehicle was found parked nearby, still idling.
“Police responded to the scene at about 06:00. Upon arrival, they found the victim’s lifeless body on the road, with a gunshot wound. Her vehicle was parked on the roadside, still idling.

“According to preliminary reports, the victim was last seen when she left for work. The incident occurred not far from the deceased’s residence,” police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said.
The motive for the killing remains unknown, and a case of murder has been opened.
Police have appealed to the public for assistance in tracking down the suspects. Anyone with information that may aid the investigation is urged to contact Lieutenant Colonel Evans Makgopa at 082 855 0117, the Crime Stop number 08600 10111, or visit the nearest police station.
