WE DESERVE A BETTER SOUTH AFRICA

Waste is plentiful. And it is also versatile. This means that when it is recycled properly, it can be repurposed and given a second life. That is how we can build a better South Africa that we all deserve.

A purposeful step in sorting out the better beautiful South Africa we all want starts by sorting out our waste problem. Recycling is not as complicated and laborious as many people think it is. The simplest and most important step is to start sorting.

Fibre Circle is the producer responsibility organisation for the paper and paper packaging industry in South Africa. In an era where environmental responsibility is more critical than ever, we are committed to being a transformative force – working with communities, organisations, industry stakeholders and government to create awareness, and to close the skills gap that limits change.

Redefining environmental stewardship in South Africa, we repurpose paper waste into opportunities for community empowerment and education, proving that sustainability and social progress can go hand in hand for a greener, more inclusive future.

Dedicated to the circular economy, we at Fibre Circle extend our impact far beyond recycling. We empower entrepreneurs who, in turn, educate communities on waste separation, transforming environmental challenges into employment opportunities and cleaner, healthier living spaces.

Education plays a pivotal role in the Fibre Circle strategy. Through partnerships with various organisations like The Good Work Foundation, we engage young minds in environmental stewardship, teaching waste separation and the importance of recycling. These initiatives foster a generation equipped to sustainably manage resources, ensuring a greener future.

Fibre Circle’s innovative collaborations showcase how sustainability can enhance community welfare. With Infinite Industries, we’ve transformed liquid board packaging waste into construction material to create ablution blocks for schools, replacing unsafe pit latrines with dignified facilities.

This not only improves health and safety for students but also instils a sense of pride and dignity in their daily lives.
