Cape Town – EFF leader Julius Malema has criticised US President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, claiming they are “scared” of the EFF.
This comes after Trump showed a video of Malema chanting “Kill the Boer” during President Cyril Ramaphosa’s visit to the White House, accusing him of inciting white genocide — a claim unsupported by official crime data.
Speaking at a Youth Day rally in KwaZulu-Natal on Monday, Malema defended the chant as a historical anti-apartheid song, insisting the EFF does not advocate violence against white people but demands the return of stolen land.
“Comrades, there is no white genocide. There is no one who wants to kill white people. We are saying to the white people, let’s live together in peace, but we can’t live in peace if you don’t give us what you stole from us.

“That’s what you are talking about, we are not talking about killing anyone,” Malema said.
He added: “The song ‘Kill the Boer’ was not created by Julius Malema. That is a song of the struggle. That is the song sung by our fathers and mothers, during difficult days of apartheid, and no one will stop us from singing that song.
“It is our heritage and we will defend it with everything we have.”
EFF leader Julius Malema says Elon Musk’s Starlink will never operate in South Africa as long as the EFF exists and the company fails to comply with BEE laws.

He also criticised Ramaphosa for allegedly being humiliated by Trump during their meeting, saying the president “shook like a small boy” and allowed himself to be disrespected.
Addressing recent election losses in KZN, where the EFF lost ground to Jacob Zuma’s MK party, Malema warned supporters against trusting Zuma, calling him an old man with empty promises who failed to deliver during his presidency.
“You cannot lose power to an old man and say Zuma is the future. How can the old be the future? You are the future of this country. We cannot be led by an old man who misled us during his time.
EFF leader Julius Malema has taken a swipe at MK Party leader Jacob Zuma’s return to politics, questioning how someone of his age could represent the future.

“He never gave us jobs, and says he can give us jobs now.
“Now he says he will give you land. Why didn’t he give you land when he was president of South Africa, or when he was deputy president of this country?
“We must stop listening to simple lies.”
