Cape Town – uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) Member of Parliament Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla has dismissed claims of instability within the party.
Speaking at a party event in Seshego, Limpopo, she affirmed that the MKP remains stable despite recent changes, including the redeployment of Floyd Shivambu from Secretary-General to Member of Parliament.
Zuma-Sambudla acknowledged that as a growing party, MKP will face challenges, but emphasised that internal decisions are strategic and purposeful, regardless of external perceptions.

“We are going to walk and soon we will be sprinting to the Union Buildings. Once again there is no destabilization, we are very stable, and we are doing things that make sense in our party. It doesn’t matter what it looks like on the outside for us it makes sense,’ says Zuma-Sambudla,” SABC News quoted her as saying.
Shivambu was this week removed as secretary-general of the MK Party following an internal investigation into his unauthorised trip to Malawi to visit fugitive pastor Shepherd Bushiri.
The visit was found to violate the party’s constitution, specifically Section 3(j), which prohibits unapproved international engagements that conflict with the party’s agenda.
