Cape Town – Two children were seriously injured when an unsecured jumping castle was lifted into the air by wind during a school festival at Protearif Laerskool in Krugersdorp, a report said on Thursday.
According to The Citizen, the inflatable rose to about two or three storeys high before the children fell out, sustaining a skull fracture and a broken arm.
Footage from the event suggests the castle may not have been anchored properly.

The school has referred the matter to the Department of Education, which is investigating.
The incident echoes a 2021 tragedy in Tasmania, where six children died after a similar inflatable accident.
