Cape Town – Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of IFP MP Khethamabala Sithole, who was shot dead last week during a meeting at the Buyafuthi hostel in Katlehong.
The attack also injured two others.
A task team was formed to investigate the incident, which the IFP believes was an assassination.
“2 suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of IFP MP Mr Khethamabala Sithole. The pair will appear before the PalmRidge Magistrate Court today on a charge of murder. The MP was shot multiple times at Buyafuthi hostel in Katlehong on 31 May,” National spokesperson for SAPS, Athlenda Mathe, said.

Sithole, 68, was a veteran leader in the party, having served in various senior roles, including Gauteng Provincial Chairperson.
