Cape Town – Police have launched a manhunt for two men believed to be linked to the murder of journalist Aserie Ndlovu and his partner Zodwa Mdhluli.
South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe on Saturday confirmed that 24-year-old Thato David Madisha and Sello “Skhalo” Uoane are being sought in connection with the couple’s kidnapping and killing.
“The two are wanted suspects in the case of murdered journalist, Aserie Ndlovu, and his partner Zodwa Mdhluli,” said Mathe.
“Police believe the pair may have played a role or have information on the alleged kidnapping and killing of the couple.”
Tracking teams are actively searching for Madisha and Uoane, and police are urging the men to hand themselves in at their nearest police station.

Members of the public with any information about the suspects’ whereabouts are urged to contact the investigating officer, Lieutenant Colonel Maboko, on 072 030 2794.
It has also emerged that Uoane is currently out on parole for a rape conviction.
The SAPS has appealed to communities to assist in bringing the suspects to justice.
According to IOL, the decomposed bodies of journalist Ndlovu and his partner Mdhluli were found in a veld in KwaMhlanga on Thursday, ending their disappearance since February 18, 2025.
The discovery followed a lengthy investigation by a multi-disciplinary police team.
Five suspects have been arrested, with three already appearing in court.
One of the suspects led police to the location of the remains, according to SAPS National Commissioner General Fannie Masemola.
