Cape Town – South African media personality Somizi Mhlongo posted a learner’s work on Instagram, expressing outrage towards the teacher and calling for a report to be made to the Minister of Education.
The teacher had assigned learners to write about the type of work they aspire to do when they are older.
Somizi criticised the teacher for not understanding the learner’s creativity and seemed to jokingly call on the Minister of Education, saying: “I need to report this teacher. This is unfair. This child was honest and even went all the way to illustrate, unlike others who lie and then end up doing the opposite. Pls tag ministry of education.”

The learner’s illustration indicated a desire to engage in a cash-in-transit heist with a friend. The learner went so far as to depict detailed planning, including drawing a cash-in-transit truck and illustrating the position of a friend throwing a bomb at the truck.
Somizi’s followers also found humour in the situation and commented on the learner’s impressive artwork and attention to detail in describing their unconventional dream job.
